This flexibility attracts some of the best professionals in their related fields and the online classroom becomes an environment that enhances engagement and expands professional networks. You’ll emerge prepared to excel in the information profession of your choice.
Online Degree Programs
All master’s and certificate of advanced study (CAS) programs offered by the iSchool, with the exception of the CAS in Cultural Heritage Preservation and the CAS in e-Government Management and Leadership, can be completed in the online/distance learning format. We deliver programs in both online and campus formats, but they are indeed the same degree program. Each online program has the samecurriculum, faculty, and tuition as its respective campus program. The only difference is the delivery mode.
Residency Requirements
The iSchool’s limited required residency format offers a unique opportunity for those who live outside the Syracuse area or who have schedules that don’t allow them to attend campus-based courses. All online students enrolled in a non-executive master’s program begin their first year of study with a week- long residency on the SU campus in July. Although optional elective courses may have additional residency requirements, master’s students may choose to complete all remaining degree requirements online.
